Bacchus House, a Victorian Home which was built in 1880, is located at 142 Hume Street in Collingwood, Ontario. Bacchus House is only a few blocks from downtown Collingwood where you will find boutique shops,  art galleries, restaurants, bars and the waterfront.  Bacchus House is approximately a 15 minute drive to Blue Mountain Ski Resort, The Scandinave Spa, Scenic Caves, Wasaga Beach, hiking trails and world class golf resorts.

Annette and Andy Lee purchased 142 Hume Street in June 2005 after coming to Collingwood for a weekend getaway.  During their visit they instantly fell in love with the community and everything the area had to offer.  More importantly, Annette & Andy fell in love with this century Victorian property which they envisioned as the first 5 star B&B for Collingwood, something the area did not yet have to offer to its visitors.

Since June 2005, Andy and Annette have work together in renovating the property to a very high standard providing guests with the charm of a Victorian residence with all the modern amenities you would expect in a small luxury inn.

On the ground floor Andy designed a “Gourmet Kitchen” with a centre isle with seating for four, allowing interactive participation of culinary demonstrations and wine seminars.

Adjacent to the new kitchen is an “Executive Boardroom” which opens out to full view of the kitchen. The Executive Boardroom can accommodate 2-10 guests for a small business meeting, family gathering, special event, culinary class, wine seminar or training session.  The boardroom features a 42 inch wall mounted TV that you can hook up your laptop to and functions as an LCD projector.

Bacchus Dining Room can seat 2-10 guests. The Dining Room has individual tables set for 2 persons or alternatively, the tables can be pushed together to accommodate one large party.  Breakfast is served in the Dining Room between 7.30am and 9am unless otherwise pre-arranged.

The Living Room features a natural gas fireplace and comfortable couches where you can unwind with a novel, challenge your partner with a  board game or simply enjoy a nightcap before retiring to the comfort of your room.

The Den features leather chocolate brown sofas and a 42 inch plasma screen TV where you can cheer on your favourite team or enjoy a movie from our extensive DVD library.

Our Entertainment Deck features an 8 person hot tub, natural gas fire pit, sun beds, gourmet BBQ and seating for 10. The Deck is surrounded by flower beds and potted plants.  The Deck is perfect for some R&R, or group dinner party.

In January 2012 will see the completion of the “Spirit of the Vine Spa” & Wine Tasting Cellar, both situated in the lower level. The spa will consist of two fully functional treatment rooms offering full Spa services.
